Bio

My twin sister and I were born in Paris, France, in 1979. We enjoyed a thrilling lifestyle (full of baguettes and paté) until, in second grade, our family moved to the Michigan suburbs, where our parents said the snow would reach our bedroom windows but it never did. Cut to fifteen years later: After graduating from the University of Michigan with an English degree, I moved to New York City. In 2001, I launched my career at Cosmopolitan, where my editorial responsibilities included stopping good-looking men on the street and asking them sexy questions. After working for women's and lifestyle magazines for three years, I became the editor-in-chief of Bene, a national magazine about Italian life and style. From 2005 to 2007, I launched and ran the award-winning quarterly, which covered Italian food, wine, fashion, design, travel and lifestyle. In January 2008, I left Bene to focus on branding work for companies such as Unilever, Huggies and Yves Saint Laurent; and writing and blogging for magazines, including Glamour, New York, Elle, Marie Claire, Budget Travel, Conde Nast Traveler and Cookie. I also run the popular women's lifestyle blog, Cup of Jo. My husband and I live in Manhattan with our baby son.

Please feel free to get in touch if you'd like to discuss a potential story or project. xo
